What is the difference between the BJ-1000 and the BJ2000?

They are the same station in two power ratings: the BJ-1000 is 90W and the
BJ2000 is 120W. The higher-powered model recovers temperature faster on heavy joints,
large ground planes and multilayer boards. Both use the same tips, the same 50–500 °C range
and the same ±3 °C stability.

What voltage do they run on?

AC 220V / 50 Hz. They are not suitable for 110–120 V mains —
please check your local supply before ordering.

How fast does it heat up?

Room temperature to 350 °C in under 20 seconds. The station reaches working temperature and
then holds it at ±3 °C.

What is the password lock for?

It is a 3-digit code (000–999) that locks the temperature setting — useful on a shared bench
where you do not want the setting changed. The factory setting is 000, which leaves the station permanently unlocked.

Are the tips replaceable, and are they standard?

Yes. These are high-frequency eddy-current tips and plug into the handle connector. The station detects
a missing or badly seated tip and displays nOL instead of heating.
